As mentioned earlier on my blog, a ‘must-see’ in Dakar is the Gorée Island, where we spend a lovely day exploring the bizarre combination of talkative art venders, old military traits, and cute, colourful houses.
Another ‘must-see’ in Dakar is my hood! Driving through the crowded, chaotic streets of Rebeuss my parents became a bit worried. Luckily, the apartment and my street could give them some peace at heart. They had to admit that it did seem friendly and calm though still noisy and overall quite ‘authentic’.
